Friday January 6th

We all tell ourselves stories at subconscious levels that end up controlling our lives.  Our human brains are wired to organize all of our life experiences into a story format. But are those brain-chatter stories true or false?

Friday night's workshop will help us discover what it means to have a twisted story and give tools to help untwist them.

We will eat some Waldo pizza along with a salad and then dive into material from Carol Webster's new book The Holding Space Practice and review material from Lani Peterson's previous workshops in Kansas City.

Meet in the Cohen Room on the lower level at the Plaza Library at 5:30. (Walk all the way to the end of the hallway and the room will be in front of you.)

Both days:
Dress in comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.  This will help us do the "work" in the workshop!    You may even bring a pillow if you like to sit on the floor.
Cost is free but donations are gratefully received.  Look for the donation jar at the workshop where you can drop in cash.  If you prefer to write a check make it payable to Principle Based Learning.

Saturday January 7th

Our life is our story and we need to be the hero in our story and allow others to be the heroes of their stories.  But how do we do that?

If you are waiting for someone to make you the hero, you will have to wait your whole life.

Saturday's workshop is a custom celebration just for YOU!  Who knows better than you what makes you the hero in your story?

Come prepared with an idea of something you did this year that was:

  1. brave
  2. creative
  3. kind
  4. and something you learned

Content will be taken from Carol Webster's new book The Holding Space Practice and review material from Lani Peterson's previous workshops in Kansas City.

There will be original activities created for this workshop.

Saturday will build on the Friday presentation, but will also be good as a stand alone workshop if you can't come on Friday.

Meet in the Cohen Room on the lower level at the Plaza Library at 1o:00 AM. (Walk all the way to the end of the hallway and the room will be in front of you.)  We will have lunch catered and take a lunch break around noon then continue after lunch until about 3:00 pm.
